Lounge & Steam
A custom sauna designed for comfort, relaxation, and everyday use. Built around a spacious lounge, a wide-bench steam room, and a covered hot tub that stays open to the air.
The clients in King City came to us with a clear idea of how they wanted to use their sauna. Not as a once-a-week luxury, but as part of how the family lives day to day. The space needed to feel generous, hold a few people comfortably, and connect to the outdoors without losing privacy.
We designed three spaces that flow into each other: an entrance lounge to slow down in, a wide-bench steam room sized for lying down rather than perching, and a covered hot tub area that stays open to the air on warmer days and shelters from the weather in winter.
Wide-bench steam room
Benches sized for lying down, not just sitting. The room is built around how the body actually wants to rest under heat. Most off-the-shelf saunas force you upright the whole time. Ours doesn't.
Essential-oil diffuser
A custom evaporation dish lets aromatic oils diffuse slowly into the air, instead of being poured directly onto hot stones. The scent stays consistent across a full session, and the stones stay cleaner.
Covered hot tub, open air
A sheltered tub that keeps its connection to the outdoors. Usable in every season the GTA throws at it: open to the air in summer, protected from snow and wind in winter.
More than just a steam room.
The open layout and spacious design turned it into a yoga and relaxation area for the client's family. A place that gets used.
That is the standard we hold every build to. Not the photo on the day it's finished, but how it sits in the household twelve months later.
